There is no cure for Stupid

Unfortunately, we all have that one friend or family member that makes us wonder: "How did you get dressed in the morning?" It's a common experience, we all are bound to meet someone who is just so. . . foolish. Which leads us to today's "Phrase (proverb) of the Day": Baka wa shina-nake-ya nao-ra-nai, which literally translates as the only cure for an idiot is death. A much nicer way to translate our proverb is There is no cure for stupid.

You CAN cure stupid. . . Kind of

Don't get me wrong, you can't expect everyone to wake up and be a master of everything. But with studying and hard work, it seems like you could cure being a fool. A bonus phrase for today: Keizoku wa chikara nari, literally: continuing is strength, means never give up OR continue to persevere. It could be argued that even if you are foolish, if you study hard and learn from your mistakes, you won't be a fool anymore. We hope.
