When you book a tour with us at Japan Deluxe Tour, you will have the experience of spending one or more nights in a Japanese style hotel. Our goal for your Japanese travel is for you to experience as much of the Japanese culture as possible. One of the experiences that we provide is a stay in a Japanese style hotel, ryokan. What is the difference between a Western-style hotel and a Japanese style hotel? A Japanese style hotel has these features:
- Tatami mats on the floor where you will sleep – Your bed is prepared each night by hotel workers
- Zabutan cushions on the floor as you sit at your low table called a Zataku table
- Hot springs where you will take a bath
- Yukata or Kimono, a robe that you will wear after your therapeutic bath. These are supplied by the hotel
