Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, a road from Toyama Pref. to Nagano Pref. is a popular sightseeing route through the northern Japan Alps. This route is known for its huge walls of snow. Their heights sometimes reach as high as 20m (about 65.6 ft). You can walk between the walls from April to May. The duration varies every year, so please check their website when you plan to visit there.
