Do you know “Yuru-chara”? Yuru-chara are mascot characters sponsored by certain municipalities to promote local products and tourism in that area. Yuru-chara may appear as costumed characters at promotional events and festivals. In addition, Yuru-chara Grand Prix which is an annual event. The most popular mascot is determined by public voting in this event. Concept 1. There should be a strong message of love for one's hometown 2. The character's movements or behaviour should be unstable and unique 3.
