Here at the museum you can learn about the over 400 years of history of shibori and view and purchase these beautiful shibori works. Arimatsu Narumi Tie-Dyeing Museum has a great collection of shibori products, displaying handkerchiefs, noren (Japanese curtains), apparel, and more. The museum also holds demonstrations where you can watch the process of shibori. Talented craftsmen show the art of shibori, creating beautiful works from dye. At Arimatsu Narumi Tie-Dyeing Museum you can even experience shibori dyeing. With a reservation, you can tie your own shibori and have it shipped to you after it has been dyed and dried.
