Hokkaido Hakodate Ropeway | Million-Dollar Night View
The Mt. Hakodate Ropeway in Hokkaido travels from the foot of Mount Hakodate to the peak (altitude 334 m or 1095 feet) in approximately three minutes. The spacious gondolas hold up to 125 passengers, and departs every ten minutes. On a clear day, the view from the ride includes everything from the Hakodate Port and the city streets of Hakodate to Tsugaru Straight and the Shimokita Peninsula. The night view from the peak is said to be even better, often considered one of the top three in the world next to Naples and Hong Kong.
