Okinawa Miyakojima | Breathtaking Beaches and Stunning Sunsets
Located 300km south of Okinawa main island, Miyakojima is best known for several of Japan's most beautiful beaches. Its coral reefs provide an amazing snorkeling experience which attracts both Japanese from the main island and foreign tourists. Maehama, Yoshino, and Sunayama are among the most popular white sand beaches on Miyakojima. Maehama Beach is known for its beautiful sunsets and is usually one of Japan's highest ranked beaches. Yoshino Beach, or Yoshino Kaigan, is the best beach to go snorkeling. The beach is filled with colorful sea creatures which swim with you as you marvel at the remarkable coral reefs. Sunayama Beach is a rather smaller beach compared to the other two and therefore allows for a much quieter experience. It's beautiful rock formations are great for pictures and the view after crossing over the sand dune is breathtaking.
