Shizuoka Izu Cactus Park | Exotic Botanical and Zoological Garden
Izu Cactus Park located at the base of Mt. Komuro is a park consisting of over 1,500 species of cacti and succulent plants. Alongside the various types of plants are large statues from Mexico adding to the exotic atmosphere. In the greenhouses are also various kinds of animals including monkeys, pelicans, peacocks, and others. The chimpanzee shows held daily are also popular among visitors. The botanical and zoological garden is a great tourist spot when in the Izu area.
