General Information

The major airline companies in Japan are Japan Airlines (JAL) and All Nippon Airways (ANA). Both have their own respective networks that offer various routes throughout the country, and are part of larger alliances with other international airlines. JAL is considered one of the largest airlines in the world, and many JAL planes can be seen at any Japanese airport. There also are other airline companies that are fairly new or smaller-sized in Japan that offer more affordable prices than the major companies. Some Asian & Japanese Airlines include:

  • Skymark Airlines : Tokyo⇔Sapporo, Kobe, Fukuoka, and Naha
  • Air DO : Tokyo⇔Sapporo, Hakodate, Asahikawa, and Memanbetsu
  • Skynet Asia Airways : Tokyo⇔Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima
  • Oriental Air Bridge : Nagasaki⇔Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Iki, Tsushima, and Fukue
  • Star Flyer : Tokyo⇔Osaka and Kitakyushu

JAL, ANA, and Skymark all have their own English websites to make ticket reservations online. Although online reservations are not possible on the English websites of Air DO and Skynet Asia Airways, travelers and tourists can book flights through their telephone reservation system.

Thanks to competition between Japan Airlines, ANA, and other travel companies, tourists and travelers can enjoy various discounts for great rates to Japan. Some affordable savings include student discounts, advanced booking, last minute savings, and senior citizen discounts. If you plan on booking a vacation with Japan Deluxe Tours and don't know which airline will give you the best rate, let our agents handle finding you the best deal with our travel partners at JAL & ANA!
