The restaurant serves traditional Japanese cuisine prepared from fresh seasonal vegetables and seafood. Relax during your vacation as you dine with a beautiful garden view and historic atmosphere. Guests can expect a delicious meal while relaxing in the tranquil Japanese garden at this charming restaurant. Even though the restaurant opened only a few years ago, the Kanazawa Gyokusen-tei was given one star by the Michelin Guide.
The Kanazawa Gyokusen-tei is located inside the 400 year-old Gyokusen-en Garden. The garden was constructed in the middle of the 17th century, and four generations (about 100 years) carried on the landscaping of the garden. Gyokusen-en features a walking path along seasonally blooming moss and flowers, leading to the Saisetsu-tei Teahouse, the oldest of its kind in Kanazawa. Participate in the Japanese tea ceremony, learning how to whip green tea with a bamboo whisk, and savoring hot matcha with a traditional Japanese sweet during your vacation at this Michelin star rated restaurant!
