Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park is one of Japan's largest flower gardens and said to be the largest flower cloister located close to Mt.Daisen in the Tottori Prefecture. The park covers about 50 hectares (123-acre) of land with a great variety of bright flowers. The park's Flower Dome is a large, indoor area with a walkway leading you to the beautiful flowers. This futuristic, 21 meter (69 feet) dome houses various tropical plants, including palm trees and thousands of orchids. The Flower Hillside and Flower Valley also feature various kinds of colorful flowers that cover the fields in array of colors. In fact, the views of Mt. Daisen from the Flower Hill with all the colorful foliage in the background is considered the best spot to enjoy nature at the park. While the park is filled with a wide range of flowers, Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park is most famous for its lovely lilies. There are about 100 varieties of lilies that bloom throughout the park year round.
Beautiful year round, Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park is best enjoyed during the months from June to August and December. During this time, the Moonlight Flower Garden seasonal event is the highlight attraction. The park is decorated with over 14,000 lights that illuminate the gardens of flowers once the sun sets. You won't want to miss this stunning illumination showcasing the beauty of the park's flowers. If you're a traveler looking for the perfect Instagram spot, a new escape, or just want to see something different, add Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park after your Japan Tour ends in Tokyo, or build a private Japan tour with a spot in Tottori!
