Furusawa Sake Brewery in Yamagata was founded in 1836 and is one of the oldest breweries in Japan. The brewery now also acts as a museum displaying equipment used for brewing as well as explaining their process of brewing sake. Of the various types of sake Furusawa Sake Brewery brews, it is best known for Sawamasamune. The brewery also conducts sake tasting for its visitors where guests can sample various kinds of Furusawa's sake.
