We start your private Japan tour heading to the Tsukiji Outer Fish Market and see what was once part of the largest wholesale fish market in the world. We continue to the Edo Tokyo Museum* which tells the story of the development of Japan's capital city Tokyo with full-sized replica displays. Afterwards, We will have a proper teppan-yaki lunch with the world-famous premium wagyu beef as the main course. Our final stop will take us to the historical Asakusa area before heading back to the hotel. *In case the Edo Tokyo Museum is closed, we will visit Kiyosumi Garden & Fukagawa Edo Museum. |

Our first stop of the day will have us heading to the magnificent Imperial Palace Plaza - the East Gardens; an oasis of calm in the urban heart of Tokyo. We will make our way to the bustling streets of Shibuya where you will find a panoramic view of Tokyo from Shibuya Sky as well as the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing and the Hachiko Statue. Continuing on, the swanky and trendy Omotesando and Harajuku Takeshita Street await where you can find eclectic fashion trends and boutiques alongside popular treats for those who have a sweet tooth. A short walk over and we find ourselves at the culturally important Meiji Shrine where you can find nature and history blend together. Leaving the nostalgic village, we will make our way to Kanazawa, known as "a little Kyoto". The first stop is the famous Ohmicho Ichiba where you will surely spark your appetite as we browse through the local market also known as Kanazawa’s Kitchen due to its size. The tour continiues to the Kanazawa Castle and we will take a relaxing stroll through the Higashi Chaya District where you can sip on freshly made matcha or green tea and snack on traditional Japanese sweets. |

Our Kyoto adventure begins in Arashiyama where you will enjoy a rickshaw ride through the peaceful bamboo forest for a unique experience. We continue with a visit to the Golden Pavilion, a stunning building famous for its gold leaf covered exterior.You have the option to choose between a Maiko Dining experience or a Tea Ceremony experience while wearing a traditional kimono. As part of the Maiko Dining experience, you can enjoy a meal accompanied by the performance of a Maiko, an apprentice Geiko (known as Geisha in Kyoto). She will present traditional dances and engage in light conversation, providing a deeper cultural immersion during your visit. After lunch, we will be the impressive Kiyomizu Temple, famous for its large veranda which offers a panoramic view of Kyoto. We then partake in a quintessentially traditional Japanese experience. We learn to make a cup of matcha via the traditional tea ceremony that Japanese culture is known for. Then, we will ride on the Jikkokubune Canal Cruise. As you head down the canal, you'll be treated to a tunnel of beautiful greenery on both sides of the river. Your group then makes pit stop at a Sake Museum where you can learn about and sample the national drink of Japan. Our next destination will lead us to Nara for a visit to the ancient Todaiji Temple where the giant buddha statue will surely leave a lasting impression. While there, we will also take a detour to the famous Deer Park where you can feed and hang out with the nationally protected divine deer. We end our day back in Kyoto where you can opt to enjoy a colorful lightshow displayed on the staircase of Kyoto station. |

Single travelers are required to pay a single supplement in order to guarantee single room accommodation.
We request one suitcase, one carry-on bag, and an overnight bag per person. The tote bag we provide can be used to hold any small merchandise/souvenirs purchased during your tour. When you check out, bring your luggage to the lobby and your tour guide will assist in loading it onto the car/bus.
Please note: The maximum weight of a checked in bag is typically 20 Kilograms or 44 Pounds. You will be traveling with your luggage except during the bullet train ride (if applicable).
All hotel rooms come with a full bathroom and room amenities free of charge unless stated otherwise.

All of our tours begin in either Tokyo or Osaka/Kyoto. When beginning or ending a tour in Tokyo, please book flights to or from Narita International Airport or Haneda International Airport. For tours beginning or ending in Osaka/Kyoto, please book flights to or from Kansai International Airport or Itami Airport.
We recommend you do not book your flights until you talk to one of our travel specialists. You can also contact us if you would like for Japan Deluxe Tour's to arrange your flights.
Traveling and visiting sights in Japan includes a good amount of walking. To fully enjoy the tour, please be prepared to keep up with the pace of the group, climb stairs with no difficulty, and wear comfortable shoes for all day use.
Guests with tattoos may not be able to use the hot-springs or onsens while in Japan. If you would like to try private hot-spring, please contact us for advanced reservation.
