Our journey begins in the scenic district of Arashiyama, where we'll take in the natural beauty of Kyoto’s western hills. From the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge to the lush riverside scenery, Arashiyama offers a peaceful introduction to the city’s timeless charm. To further immerse ourselves in the atmosphere, we’ll enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through the area. As we glide past quiet bamboo groves and charming streets, our rickshaw driver will share local stories and history, adding depth to this unforgettable experience. We’ll then stroll along Ninenzaka, a gently sloping stone path lined with traditional wooden townhouses, teahouses, and souvenir shops. This preserved neighborhood evokes the elegance of Kyoto’s past and invites us to slow down and appreciate its historic beauty. Our next stop is Nishiki Market, often referred to as “Kyoto’s Kitchen.” Here, we’ll explore the lively arcade filled with local delicacies, artisan snacks, and seasonal produce. From sweet mochi to savory skewers, there’s something to delight every palate. In the afternoon, we’ll step into the world of Japanese warriors at the Samurai & Ninja Museum. Through interactive exhibits and demonstrations, we’ll learn about the history, weapons, and philosophy behind these legendary figures of Japanese culture. To conclude our day, we’ll enjoy an elegant Kyoto-style dinner accompanied by a special Maiko experience.
