Day 2

Today, we will travel further west to the Himeji prefecture to visit the magnificent Himeji Castle. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, it is considered one of Japan’s three premier castle. Nicknamed the White Heron Castle due to the castle’s brilliant white walls, the castle maintains almost all of its original structures since its construction in the early 1600’s. After overcoming war, natural disasters, and going through restorative work, enjoy exploring around the stunning castle grounds. Additionally, the cherry blossoms with Himeji Castle offer stunning photo opportunities, capturing the essence of Japan’s Spring season.


In Hiroshima, Okonomiyaki (Japanese style savory pancakes) has been a popular dish since before the World War. We will serve you this local favorite for today's dinner.

Day 3

We will spend today exploring the city of Hiroshima. Our tour begins with a visit to the A-Bomb Dome, the only surviving building from the aftermath of the Atomic Bombing in Hiroshima. The A-Bomb Dome is located on the Peace Park Memorial park grounds, the site where the atomic bomb struck Hiroshima. Stroll along the park to see famous attractions like that of Sadako’s statue and the freedom bell. The A-Bomb Dome has been preserved to be a reminder of the tragedy for future generations and to symbolize its wishes for everlasting peace. While at the Peace Park, enjoy the exhibits at the world-famous Hiroshima Peace Park Museum. This museum collects the history and artifacts from the bombing and is a reminder of the city of Hiroshima's wish for world peace.



In the afternoon our Japan Tour will head to Miyajima, an island south of Hiroshima known for its Itsukushima Shrine, or floating torii gate. During high tide, the torii gate looks as though it is floating in water, creating a unique sight, considered one of Japan’s three most beautiful sights. Miyajima is also known for its momiji manju (maple leaf shaped cake with red beans) and oysters which you can enjoy during your time on the island.

Day 4

Our day begins in Nagasaki where we will be visiting several historically significant locations. The first stop will be the Nagasaki Peace Memorial Park, a symbol of peace and a testament to the horrors of war. The Peace Statue sits at the epicenter of the blast from the atomic bomb dropped on the city. The right hand points up to symbolize the atomic bomb while the left hand points towards future peace. The statue's bent right leg symbolizes meditation, while the bent left leg represents the need to stand up against war. The closed eyes are to offer prayers and respect for the victims' souls lost in the devastation blast.


From there, our vacation will head to Glover Garden which exhibits Western style mansions. After viewing these gorgeous mansions, we will continue with our foreign influences to the Oura Catholic Church. The Oura Catholic Church is Japan’s oldest standing Catholic church. We will then take a bullet train to Kumamoto and proceed to the hotel.

Day 5

Your Japan tour will make its way to Kumamoto to see Kumamoto Castle. Kumamoto Castle is considered one of the three premier castles in Japan, along with Himeji Castle and Matsumoto Castle. Thirteen structures in the castle complex are designated Important Cultural Property. Several ancillary wooden buildings remain of the original castle. Note, during our vacation we won't be able enter the castle grounds due to renovations, but we will be able to see the castle and explore Johsaien, a shopping arcade by Kumamoto Caslte filled with over 20 shops and the Wakuwaku-za museum featuring the history and culture of Kumamoto & the famous Japanese Castle.


We will then travel to the fabled lands of Takachiho. The group will explore the Awano Iwato Shrine as we make our way through Takachiho Gorge. The gorge is said to be the hiding spot of the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu, when Susano-o, the God of Storms, was terrorizing her. The natural greenery in contrast with the volcanic rock that forms the gorge makes for a magnificent scenery. Our last stop of the day will be the Tunnel Station which houses the Kagura Shuzo Brewery. Sample the local sake and shop for potential gifts at this unique destination.

Day 6

We begin today with a leisurely stroll around the small town of Yufuin. Stop by the many traditional shops along the Yunotsubo Street and sample the many local specialties of the quaint town. We will also make our way to Kinrin Lake for some time in nature as you enjoy the scenery and peaceful koi fish in the lake.


Once we finish our time in Yufuin, we head to Beppu for a visit to one of the famous Tour of Hell hot springs. Each hot spring has a unique feature typically the color due to the different types of minerals present and is truly a one of a kind destination.



Moving on, we’ll take a ferry over to neighboring Shikoku for a visit to Dogo Onsen, which is said to have over 3,000 years of history. The onsen is also widely known for welcoming the imperial family as guests and has a room called Yushinden on reserve exclusively for their use. Dogo Onsen's impressive wooden structure served as a model for the famous film Spirited Away.



Upon arrival to Dogo Onsen, we will walk around the old fashion hot spring shopping arcade that will bring you a somewhat retro experience. You can find a mechanical clock tower that performs every half an hour, a foot bath, and many orange related items as this area is known as the biggest producer of oranges in Japan.

Day 7

Our Cherry Blossom tour will begin the day by heading towards Osaka. Traveling East, our vacation brings us to an interesting Udon Making workshop to learn how to carefully prepare Udon noodles. While ramen is enjoyed around Japan, Udon is a popular thick noodled dish famous in the Southern regions of Japan. Learn first-hand the ways to prepare this delicious Japanese cuisine during your Takayama tour.


Next, we will visit the famous Ritsurin Garden. Michelin Green Guide graded the garden three stars and is a great place to take photos, especially from the highest point that overlooks the entire garden.


After soaking in some natural beauty, the tour will make its way through Tokushima. We will stop at the Awa-odori Museum, a museum dedicated to the prefecture dance of Tokushima. An annual festival where thousands of spectators will flock to the area to watch the dance being performed during Obon season. Here, we’ll learn about the history as well as learn some parts of the dance.

Journey into the heart of Kyoto during the enchanting cherry blossom season, where nature's beauty and cultural treasures harmonize in perfect unison.



In the captivating district of Arashiyama, delicate cherry blossoms enhance the morning sunlight filtering through the lush bamboo groves. A rickshaw ride through this picturesque setting becomes a truly spirited adventure, guided by our rickshaw drivers who are both entertainers and experts.



Moving on to the iconic Kinkakuji Temple, its two upper floors adorned in gold leaf create a breathtaking spectacle, reflected in the tranquil lake. The cherry blossoms' gentle presence adds an extra layer of beauty to this already stunning sight.



Indulge in a rare opportunity – a Maiko performance. These Geisha apprentices will enchant you with their traditional dances, offering you the chance to ask questions, capture photographs, and gain a deeper understanding of their lives.



Continuing our journey, we step into history on the ancient street of Ninenzaka. As cherry blossoms adorn the scene, this atmospheric street transports you to Japan's past. Enjoy a hands-on tea ceremony, where you'll not only witness its history and meaning but also have a chance to create your own traditional cup of matcha.



As the day transitions to evening, we retreat to a welcoming ryokan, a traditional inn. Embark on an enchanting journey to Hakone during the captivating spring season, where the harmony of nature and cultural treasures creates an experience beyond compare.



Our day begins with the renowned Shinkansen, the bullet train that effortlessly blends speed and comfort. As we journey towards Hakone, the gentle beauty of spring paints a serene picture outside your window, giving you a glimpse of the wonder that lies ahead.



Our first stop is the Hakone Open-Air Museum, an artistic haven nestled in nature's embrace. Stroll through this outdoor gallery, where sculptures harmonize with the season's tranquility, creating a unique and immersive experience.



Continuing onward, we reach Owakudani, a mystic volcanic valley that offers breathtaking landscapes and natural hot springs. Against the backdrop of the cherry blossom season, this unique destination presents an otherworldly atmosphere that is sure to captivate your senses.



Our day concludes with a ride on the Hakone Ropeway, a cable car that offers panoramic views of Hakone's natural beauty. As you ascend, the landscape unfolds before you, revealing the serene allure of this renowned destination.

Begin your immersive journey through Tokyo's vibrant streets during the enchanting cherry blossom season, where the fusion of urban allure and cultural treasures promises an unforgettable experience.



Our day kicks off with an exploration of the Fukagawa Edo Museum, offering a glimpse into Tokyo's historical tapestry. As you step into its meticulously recreated Edo-era streets, you'll be transported to a bygone era.



Subsequently, we venture to the Tsukiji Outer Market, a bustling hub of gastronomic delights. Amidst the vibrant energy of the market, please enjoy a special lunch surrounded by the lively atmosphere of the market and the four seasons of Japan.



Our journey continues to Asakusa, where the iconic Senso-ji Temple stands as a testament to Tokyo's rich cultural heritage. Meander through the vibrant Nakamise Street, lined with traditional shops and lively stalls offering a diverse array of treasures. The cherry blossoms' delicate presence adds an extra layer of charm to this cherished locale.



Moving on, we reach Harajuku, a district where modern trends and traditional elements seamlessly coexist. Traverse Takeshita Street, where a collision of contemporary fashion and youthful spirit fills the air.



Our adventure concludes amidst the bustling energy of Shibuya Crossing, an iconic symbol of Tokyo's dynamism. Amidst the crowds, take a moment to visit the loyal Hachiko statue, a heartwarming story of friendship that resonates with the spirit of the season.

We've cleared up the day for you to enjoy at your leisure or opt for a full day at Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea.
