Our guide, Hiroko-san and bus driver, Kenji-san, were exceptional. They made sure we were entertained and informed constantly about our surroundings and the history of an area we happened to drive through. The one thing I would recommend to other people is to book/allocate more time in Japan before and after the actual tour so you can explore on your own. Learning a few basics of the language wouldn't hurt either. Overall, it was great!! The only thing I can say is sometimes it felt a little disorganized. I think that was because we had people staying in 2 different hotels and there seemed to be more than 1 tour group? I know there was at least 2 because on the Anime Japan day we were split up by hotels instead of tour groups and I had a different guide, Hida-san. The other difficulty was with the Green Tomato Shuttle from the airport. I don't believe this was your fault but I think you should know that we waited at least 2 hours after our flight arrived before even getting on the shuttle to the hotel. They were very unorganized. Hiro-san and Kenji-san were awesome and I will miss them both! Thank you for the fun adventure! First part of the tour we had a different guide and we were upset and disappointed. Thankfully, after Hiroshima, we had another Hiroko and she made a big difference. We had 2 nights in Japanese style hotel and had to sleep on the floor which was very uncomfortable. As an experience, one night should be enough as we have busy days and need a good nights rest.
