What an experience! If there was a best way to experience such a beautiful country for the first time, it wouldn't be a stretch to say this Japan tour was it. Incredible tour, the itinerary was well planned out, meals were fantastic and the journey was very smooth overall. Our tour guide, Hide-San deserves a special mention in creating the experience as he adeptly shared his wisdom in Japanese art, history, local produce, culture all the while making everyone feel welcome with his warm personality. I'm truly glad I've had this experience as it is definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I am very glad I decided to try the winter tour package to Japan. I definitely recommend Japan Deluxe Tour's tour packages for anyone looking for a 'primer' to Japan

Golden Route of Japan 7 Days
I had a wonderful experience visiting Japan with the Golden Route tour (Japan Highlights Tour) from Osaka to Tokyo. Now is the time to go if you’ve always wanted to, since I found Japan to be clean and safe. Yuki in the tour office was extremely helpful and expertly arranged all of my trip details, including my hotel reservation for my extended stay in Tokyo in addition to the tour package. I got around Tokyo by riding the JR Yamanote train to sites including Tsukiji Fish Market, Shibuya, Shinjuku (Tokyo Metropolitan Gov't office building), Harajuku, Meiji Shrine, Tokyo Tower, Zoyoji Temple and DisneySea. Our tour guide, Hidesada Shimazaki, was cheerful and informative, and the driver of our comfortable motor coach, Yuya, was skillful and friendly too. The meals and hotels were all terrific. I particularly liked the buffets where you could choose from a myriad of delicious dishes, as well as the variety of set meals provided, especially a fabulous Kaiseki dinner in Atami. The tour is jam packed with visits to all and more of the attractions mentioned in the itinerary, with enough free time at each site for strolling and shopping. I was fortunate to have had warm weather and clear days during the tour, allowing me to witness many beautiful views of Mt. Fuji. Overall, I highly recommend this Japan tour package and you too are sure to have a great trip in Japan with Japan Deluxe Tour...

We would like to thank you for a fantastic Japan tour. It was everything you promised, and more. We would especially like to mention our tour guide, Mr. Inoue. He made a great trip a superb one, with his knowledge, professionalism, dedication and sense of humor. He met us with a shopping bag full of brochures, maps, and other 'goodies' that surprised and delighted us each day. He was always bright and cheerful and very efficient. As our tour guide, we'd follow him anywhere! I would go on another one of these Japan sakura tour packages Video Message from tour member joined our tour in April 2011. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=md6jyqvi8Rg

I'm writing this email to thank you for a wonderful trip we recently had in Japan. The itinerary worked out great and the daily arrangement of the tour was excellent. We were able to taste different food, try various types of transportation, and see different aspects of Japan thanks to this tour package. The most impressive is that there ware no commission-driven shopping trips or contrived "cultural" shows. Thank you very much!

I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time touring with Otanisan as our guide. She did a fantastic job as a tour guide, sharing all of her knowledge about each temple and shrine that we visited and each new experience that she orchestrated. Our tour group was the perfect size not too big and we had a chance to get to know each other as we shared the sights together on this guided tour. Japan Deluxe Tours did a fantastic job. Thank you very much!

Takayama Festival | Hidden Village (SP) 9 Days
I have just been participating in the 2010 Takayama Spring Festival tour. It was great, the best experience ever. The hotels I was staying at were quite good. Make sure you bring comfortable shoes to wear as there are a lot of walking done during the Takayama festival tour. The tours itinerary were good, we visit plenty of places, though I have to admit that sometimes I did feel a little bit rushed, but it's alright, we visit every places written in the itinerary. They also provide plenty of Japanese cuisine. I would definitely join their Japan tour again next time I'm going to Japan. Great staffs and tour guide as well. The only drawback is that I found they are a little bit slow in replying emails. So the best way to communicate with them is to phone them. Also, if you are interested in places in Tokyo like Shibuya, Harajuku, Akihabara, I would suggest to take an extra day or 2 to explore by yourself. Also, I've heard that Sengakuji Temple in Tokyo is a good place to visit as well (too bad it wasn't in the itinerary). If you like Studio Ghibli, their Studio Ghibli optional tour or anime tour package is a must.

So my dad and I did the Takayama Spring Festival tour in April and it was GREAT! The group was small and wonderful- actually may keep in contact with several. The tour guide was brilliant - Kim was her name. All the meals were Japanese styles (Western breakfast was also offered at most of the hotels). Enough free time, tour time, down time, etc. Hotels were very high standard and located well. Kim explained history, cultural information and even gave detailed instructions on Japanese toilets and using the onsens (hot springs) which were a several of the hotels - one of the greatest experiences in Japan. Everything worked out so well - we would definitely recommend the tour group and they are putting together a special Japan festival tour in August which sounds fabulous. If I go back to Japan - I will include a tour with Japan Deluxe Tour for another one of their guided group tours. Good luck everybody and I hope if you travel with them, you have a great Japan tour as good as ours!

My daughter and her boyfriend returned yesterday. They had nothing but the nicest things to say about their trip, in spite of having to wear the same thing for 3 days, and no access to money due to the lost baggage by airlines. They had a great time. They told me about all the aspects of their trip. How clean everything is, how polite all the people were, and she says we can take a lesson or two as Americans from the Japanese in regards to work ethic, cleanliness, and manners. They said everyone involved in their trip was so kind. At one point your tour guide came to their room and offered to give them money. They declined but were moved by such a generous offer. I am a nurse, and so being a humanitarian, and like most who work in the humanitarian field, I am far from wealthy and have not had a vacation in 3 years due to the economy. But when I finally get my vacation I am coming to Japan, and with your company.

We had the pleasure of taking Japan Deluxe Tour in May and having taken many a tour before, we found this one to surpass them all. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and planned our trip so that we saw the best of Japan and were able to experience things we never could have done on our own without the guided tour. The meals (which were my biggest concern) were absolutely fabulous, and were included in the price of the Japan tour package (very nice). Unlike other tours we have taken, this one was nicely paced and we had time to shop and enjoy the beauty of each area we visited. The hotels were absolutely top notch, and the room accommodations were far beyond our expectations. The bus, which transported us to most of our destinations was very comfortable and equipped with a speaker system which our tour guide used to educate us along the way about the sites we were about to visit, about the people and the culture of Japan, and would tell us about the things we saw along the way. The tours were absolutely awesome and the private tea ceremony indeed was a highlight of the trip. Kimono fashion shows, river boat rides, fabulous shopping opportunities, Mount Fuji (something you have got to see!), the Giant Buddha (with all it's friendly deer),the Golden Pavilion, Shinsaibashi (a fabulous shopping district in Osaka), Japanese TV, the list doesn't stop on all the wonderful things you get to see and do. The Shinkansen ride is worth the price of the trip alone, and will make you yearn for more. What really made this tour exceptionally nice was that the tour guide took time to answer all your questions, and to help you with any transactions or other items that you needed help with. We were staying another week after the tour, and our tour guide helped us make dinner reservations, gave us advice, and even escorted us to the train station to make sure we got on the right train. This tour group goes above and beyond, and everything is included, so you can't beat the price. If this is your first trip to Japan (like it was ours) I highly recommend this escorted tour! If you have been to Japan before, then I highly recommend this tour agency. They are easy to work with and bend over backwards to make sure that your trip to Japan is all you hoped it would be. Everyone should go to Japan at least once in their lives. But then, once you go on this Japan tour, you will be trying to figure out how and when you can come back!

Golden Route of Japan 7 Days
The "Golden Route Tour" (Now:Japan Highlights Tour) offered by the Japan Deluxe Tours was the perfect introduction to Japanese culture. Representative Yuki was easily accessible by email and phone to promptly answer our last-minute questions, make changes to our itinerary, and provide logistical details for an extra day in Tokyo and Kyoto. We received our tour package in the mail, which included a detailed color brochure of our itinerary, meal vouchers, tote bags, luggage tags, passport protectors, and city maps of Tokyo and Kyoto. Thanks to Yuki, we could relax and enjoy a worry-free trip. (Hotels & Restaurants) Every hotel was luxurious, clean, and accommodating. The rooms were fully equipped with hot water brewer for coffee and tea, mini-refrigerator, HDTV, internet access, bathrobe and slippers. The modern marble bathrooms were equipped with heated bidet toilets, salon-quality toiletries, blow-dryer, razors, cotton swabs, and more. The sumptuous breakfast buffet included both a Japanese breakfast (udon noodles, grilled salmon, tofu custard, a variety of pickles, fresh sliced fruits, and vegetables) and a Western breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, pastries, and breads). Our tour package also included delicious lunches and dinners at regional restaurants thoughtfully selected by Mr. Ushiyama. Highlights included a Kaiseki dinner comprising traditional Japanese soup, salads, pickles, sushi, tempura, noodles, and tofu custard served in an array of beautiful Japanese pottery, and a Shabu-Shabu dinner comprising a hot pot of thinly sliced beef simmering with onions and mushrooms. We also enjoyed a lunch of hibachi-grilled pork. Foreign foods can sometimes challenge the digestive track, but all of our meals were so fresh that we felt more healthy after taking this trip! (The Sights) On the Golden Route Tour, everything was novel and interesting, a feast for our senses. Even the rest stops were impressive with fresh foods, super clean restrooms, and fun coffee machines which showed a video of what was happening inside the machine. We explored many ancient temples including Sensoji Temple where a traditional Japanese wedding was being held, the Imperial Palace courtyard, a tea ceremony, an Edo-period Museum with a replica of the Nihonbashi Bridge and a kabuki theater, a kimono textile factory featuring amazing textile artists, live silk worms, and a kimono fashion show, Owakudani sulfur springs where delicious black eggs are boiled in the sulfur water for healthful benefits, a ninja museum in Iga where we experienced a weaponry performance and the revolving doors of a ninja house, a hot spring resort in Hakone which restored our body and soul with a meditative soak in a private outdoor hot spring followed by spa treatments for face, hair, and body, the deer of Todaiji Temple where domesticated deer begged us for crackers, a geisha in Gion rushing from her dorm into a black limousine, and numerous shopping opportunities from Tokyo's modern malls in Ginza and Akihabara to traditional temple kiosks and specialty shops that line the quaint streets of Kyoto. (Transportation) Our tour bus was very comfortable and expertly driven by the owner, Tsuji-san, who purchased umbrellas for all of us on the day that it rained. We also rode on the famously punctual and fast Shinkansen bullet train, a cruise boat on the Sumida River, a pirate ship on Lake Ashi, and a cable car that offered a birds-eye view of the picturesque Lake Ashi valley. (Our Tour Guide) This extraordinary trip would not have been possible without our exceptional tour guide Hidesada Shimazaki who showed us the heart and spirit of Japan with his gracious demeanor and enriching lessons about Japanese culture - music, language, literature, religion, and art. He sang us a traditional Japanese song, read us Moon Princess, and taught us how to fold origami during our bus rides. We were very fortunate to have Hide-san as our guide to the treasures of Japan. (Conclusion) Our experience with Japan Deluxe Tours was excellent, from start to finish. The Golden Route Tour was a first-class experience that well never forget. Every moment was a treat, a delightful surprise, so much more than we expected. If you're thinking about a trip to Japan , we highly recommend Japan Deluxe Tour for an unforgettable adventure with attention to detail and lots of heart.
