The Peace Memorial Park was created in dedication to the victims of the Hiroshima atomic bombing and for the hope of world peace. Due to the vaporization of the atomic bomb, the building did not completely collapse, leaving the skeletal remains to be preserved by Hiroshima as a reminder.
This Anime Japan Tour 11 Days will also venture out to the island of Miyajima famous for its Itsukushima Shrine, or floating torii gates. The shrine received its “floating” nickname for its unique appearance it gains during high tide when the torii appears to be floating.
