Day 2

Kicking things off for the day, our anime tour will take you to Tokyo’s anime-centric Kanda Shrine, a site featured in many popular anime such as the idol hit Love Live! This is the only Japanese shrine in where travelers can purchase good luck charms featuring anime characters specifically for electronics (Laptops, cellphones, etc.). After a short walk, you will be standing in the anime mecca of the world, Akihabara, or as locals call it, Akiba. Enjoy shopping at some of the most popular otaku stores, including SUPER POTATO, the Akihabara Culture Zone, & Animate. Animate carries all kinds of character goods, manga/anime, and popular video games. Your anime tour includes another day in Akihabara in case you didn’t have enough time to shop, explore, or find what you are looking for.

After our time in Akiba, we’ll head to the unique anime shopping complex, Nakano Broadway. In addition to the most current merchandise, Nakano Broadway is home to vintage character goods as well. Don’t forget to try the famous eight-layer ice cream served downstairs too!

Before your tour day ends, your group will visit the world-famous Ghibli Museum. Designed by Miyazaki Hayao himself, the animation and art museum exhibits the history and techniques of the Ghibli movies, in addition to exclusive short films you can only see at the museum. Our anime tour day with dinner and a bang at the Robot Restaurant. Enjoy the thunderous music, colorful performers, and giant robots for the most eclectic show experience in Japan.

Day 3

Today’s the big day of the international anime convention – AnimeJapan! Join the many cosplayers and anime lovers in the biggest Anime event in the world. Everything from anime, manga, figurines, to video games, guest speakers, and event exclusive merchandise are all accessible. Enjoy your day exploring the grounds and meeting people with the same passion as you!

For people not interested in attending the event or would like to leave the event early, there is much to do around the area as well. Join us to explore some of the great sights on Odaiba, including the iconic 72 ft Unicorn Gundam Model. Replacing the previously standing 59 ft RX-78-2 Gundam, the Unicorn Gundam at the Tokyo Gundam Base is a must for any fan of Gundam or Japan's Robot Culture.

There are also several shopping malls to walk around at and perhaps purchase souvenirs. You can also visit MEGA WEB, an interactive car themed exhibit created by Toyota. With three different areas to explore, go back in time at the History Garage exhibit filled with classic models from the 1960's onward, learn and interact with next generation technology in the City Showcase area, or have your kid(s) enjoy a first-hand driving experience in a kid-friendly environment at the Ride Studio.

Your tour group will then assemble again at 2PM* and head for the world’s first digital art museum, “teamLab★Borderless”. Here, you can find a mix of lights, colors, and sounds working together to create moving works of art. With several different exhibits to see, some of which interact with each other or even yourself, a truly mesmerizing and immersive experience awaits.

*For those who would like to stay at the AnimeJapan convention, you are welcome to stay for the remainder of the day.

    2. Spend the rest of the day in Akihabara and return to the hotel on your own. Your tour guide will provide instructions on how to return to the hotel via train.

  2. After lunch in Akihabara, the anime tour will head to the old town district of Asakusa where you can purchase traditional Japanese souvenirs at the Nakamise area and explore Senso-ji Temple, one of Tokyo’s most popular temples. Return to the hotel afterwards.
