This has been one of the busiest work years of my life, hence why we looked to you for travel assistance in the first place. It was an amazing Japan tour, once in a lifetime trip. It was fabulous! The itinerary and tour guides were wonderful. I highly recommend having the private vehicle for any groups of 8 or more and especially with groups made of people ages 60 and over. The subways in Tokyo are crazy and very crowded and the transfers are very far from one platform to the next. They don’t call it the concrete jungle for nothing. We managed though and had great laughs about it.
The first day itinerary was a little too ambitious, but we got to see tons of things. The first hotel (the Rose hotel) was good. The service was great and the morning breakfast was very nice, but the rooms were musty. I know it was because we doddled on firming up the room reservations, but I would not recommend people stay in Yokohama as an alternate to Tokyo. It wasn’t too bad, but it is little far from Tokyo. The second hotel in Tokyo, the Grand Palace Daiba was gorgeous. Amazing rooms, location near the train and fantastic morning buffet. Exceptional! In the states the rooms would have easily been $550+/night
We did have a little mix up with the airport transportation from the hotel to the airport. Since we were so spoiled and had a private shuttle on the other legs, we did not expect to be going on the hotel large bus shuttle. So we waited around and no one called us when the large bus arrived for the hotel guests, so we ended up getting cabs. Our bad I think or miscommunication. I would definitely utilize Japan Deluxe Tours again. They were so accommodating and had great suggestions even for the special dinner we had out at the Navy base. Thank you for helping us create such wonderful memories. Next time maybe we will try one of your Japan spring tours.
