Saw a lot of areas that weren't tourist attractions.

Best place visited on the tour: Todaiji Temple, Meiji, Mt. Fuji

Best experience you had in Japan: Petting deer, Shinkansen, cultural immersion

Want to visit next: More of Mt. Fuji. Add a day of hiking in place of some of the side trips.
A little more free time to investigate areas after activities might be nice. Following a day of group tours, we've enjoyed family dinners in local restaurants and finding some shops and activities. Our son took the opportunity to ride the roller coaster at Tokyo Dome and we found a small sushi spot.
