Best Place Visited on the Japan Tour: Akihabara - anime shopping
Best Experience on the Japan Tour: Manga drawing tutorial + voice acting tutorial at Yoyogi
Want to Visit again/next time: a cat cafe
This was my first international trip by myself so I was quite nervous but this tour has given me the confidence to travel more as the tour was so well organised.
There were a lot of activities packed into the tour, although there were some places I wanted more time in, this was an excellent tour to see a lot of Japan and plan where I want to spend my home in future trips to Japan.
The guide we had was amazing - so knowledgeable, approachable, fun, and the group got on really well because of this.
I liked the fact that we got to experience a lot of the Japanese culture (food, onsen futon) and it was not too "westernized" because I didn't come to Japan to eat hamburgers that I can eat in my own country.
Got to stay in Japanese style hotels. The room + Facilities were very comfortable
There was a mix of western and Japanese dishes.
Traditional/iconic japanese meals were organised by guide, as it is sometimes hard to know what to order and how to eat it.
Long drives were broken up with informative talks, movies, origami, and language lessons.
Hide-san has excellent English, cultural knowledge, and patience.
We got to see anime spots and then see the traditional, cultural attractions (that are in the anime).
International AnimeJapan Fair is the largest anime convention in the world! With over 100,000 vendors, artists, cosplayers, and fans gathering from around the world, this convention is a must for anime lovers.
