One of the shopping districts of Tokyo called AMEYA YOKOCHO a.k.a AMEYOKO is unique. There are a lot of souvenir shops, grocery stores, novelty stores, even fish market alongside the 400m long narrow street. Products are selling very reasonable prices. However, you must be careful because there are sometimes fake goods or items in poor quality. It's fun to find genuine good things from these messes and this is how we enjoy AMEYOKO.
The visitors are not only local but also many tourists from all over Japan and outside of Japan. The busiest days are before New Year’s Day Holiday. People come to this town to shop for food and gifts just like Western people prepare for Christmas.
