If you ask anyone which street is the busiest in Tokyo this season, everyone will say Ameyoko. It’s located between Okachimachi to Ueno on the west side of the elevated JR Yamanote-line tracks. 400 meter long shopping street called Ameyoko. It seems like everything is sold in here food products, clothing, jewelries, commodities, sundries etc. Ameyoko is always crowded with shoppers but the huge crowd surged before New Year’s eve. Shoppers come here in search of big food bargains preparing New Year. You can find many ingredients for Osechi dish traditional Japanese Ney Year’s cuisine cheap and fresh. TV news broadcast the crowd to the nation people feel almost the year come to end.
