Okinawa Hundreds of the Ryukyu islands
Okinawa prefecture is the southernmost prefecture in all of Japan that consists of hundreds of the Ryukyu islands. They have a unique history as a Japanese prefecture. Once it’s called Ryukyu Kingdom they are influenced by Japan, China and South East Asia because their location is in the center of East China Sea. They have their own culture and language.
