Sado-traditional tea ceremony

In Japan, there is a traditional tea ceremony. It called "Sado". "Sado" is based on Japanese spirit of hospitality. Basically, the master of the ceremony invites guests and serves Japanese traditional tea called "Matcha" (green tea), together with traditional Japanese sweets to balance with the bitter taste of the tea. The whole process is not about drinking tea, but is about aesthetics. The host of the ceremony always considers the guests with every movement and gesture. The room designed style of tea is called a "chashitsu", and is ideally 4.5 tatami(261cm×261cm) in floor area. "Chashitsu" has a low door (67cm). It’s because it is in a way of thinking that "chashitsu" is different from the outside. Low door lets us lower the head even person having high position and social position. There are some workshops to experience Sado in Japan. So, if you interested in Japanese traditional tea ceremony, why don’t you try it?
