Soji Toban
In Japan, students are expected to clean the school using a system called soji toban. Cleaning up the classroom is considered a part of education. This teaches students to respect the school and classroom. Students do everything from sweeping the floors, cleaning the windows, arranging the desks, cleaning the halls, etc. Soji toban continues even after school, into the workplace. Even in the office setting, employees are expected to keep their office clean by cleaning their office space themselves.
