Food Travel Hack: Quicker Instant Curry

Instant Curry in under 3 minutes!
Lately, I haven't been able to get enough curry it seems. Whether it's midnight snacking on some leftover curry rice from dinner, or watching Steph Curry drain 3's, curry-fever is on my mind. Therefore, today I plan on sharing a little trick my dad taught me to make instant curry rice even faster than it already is (I know what you're thinking: pft, like that's even possible).
The standard way of making instant curry is to take the rather dull looking silver packet, placing it in a pot of boiling water, and letting it cook through the heat. It actually makes for a delicious meal, but the hassle of cleaning the pot after letting a bag sit for 3 minute doesn't seem worth it (and if you don't clean after, umm eww). My dad taught me this trick that I want to share with you.
- First up, get the instant rice and open it up onto a separate microwave safe plate/bowl.
- Next, go ahead and open that non-heated pack of curry, and let it pour all over your rice
- The last step, just put it in the microwave for about 2:30 on high, and you're good to go!
Sounds simple enough right? Some instant curry packets actually started adding this method to the instructions, but back when I first learned this trick, my mind was blown!
