Our day starts at the serene Tenryu-ji, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the Zen garden offers a peaceful introduction to Kyoto's spiritual heritage. The tranquility continues with a stroll through the picturesque Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, just a stone's throw away from Tenryu-ji. Here, the towering bamboo shoots paint a breathtakingly beautiful picture, encapsulating the timeless charm of Kyoto. Next, experience the city's past in a unique and personal way with a traditional rickshaw ride. As you are guided through the city's narrow lanes, you will gain an intimate understanding of Kyoto's historical landscape. We then proceed to Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, where you can marvel at the intricate detailing and beautiful gardens that surround this iconic structure. This is followed by a serene tea ceremony, where you can experience the peace and ritual of this time-honored Japanese tradition. As the day comes to a close, we wander through the historic Ninenzaka, appreciating its old-world charm and traditional craft shops. Finally, our journey concludes at the mesmerizing Fushimi Inari Shrine, known for its distinctive vermilion torii gates. |
