| Anime Across the City
Kicking things off with our anime tour, it's off to Tokyo's anime-famous Kanda Shrine. Featured in many popular anime such as Love Live! and collaborating with hit anime & manga like My Hero Academia, Kanda Shrine is the only shrine to offer good luck charms for electronics and anime characters. After a brief time snapping photos of your vacation at the Anime shrine, our group will head to Akihabara, the town of anime. While there, enjoy shopping at some of the most popular otaku destinations, including Animate. Animate carries all kinds of character goods, electronics, and games from current and popular anime/manga series. There's plenty of free time in Akihabara, so Japan Deluxe Tours recommends exploring Super Potato for vintage games, the SEGA arcade, a Maid Cafe, or just explore the city at your leisure during your vacation. Your anime tour will return to Akihabara the next day in case you didn't have enough time shopping or wanted to spend more time enjoying the Anime capital of the World!
After our time in Akiba, our anime tour will swing by the famous Ni-Tele Big Clock, or the Ghibli Clock as some call it. This massive clock was designed by Hayao Miyzaki himself and is bound to delight any Ghibli fan with it's charming mechanical show! Following our time at the Ghibli Clock, our anime tour will travel to the lively Tokyo Character Street in Tokyo Central Station. This lovely shopping arcade is lined with various anime-themed shops, including a Jump Store, Pokemon Center, Hello Kitty shop, Ghibli store, and more! There's also Tokyo Ramen Street, Okashi Land, and Gachapon Street, perfect for someone who wants some lunch and to do a little more gift shopping for friends or for themselves! We recommend trying Tokyo Ramen Street for lunch, or explore the station and try great choices like Ikinari Steak, McDonald's, and other familiar options.
Following our adventures at Tokyo Character Street, enjoy touring the grounds of the anime specialized shopping complex: Nakano Broadway. Explore the many stores dedicated to anime and otaku goods or try the eight-layer ice-cream they serve downstairs! Before our anime tour ends for the day, our group will head east of Tokyo to visit the famed Ghibli Museum. This animation and art museum exhibits the work of Miyazaki Hayao, creator of world famous films such as My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. Ghibli Film fans will definitely enjoy the artistic museum, which not only exhibits the history and techniques of animation, but also plays short movies in a theater room produced exclusively for the museum. After our time at the anime museum, your tour will then proceed to the hotel.
| Cup Noodle Museum & Cherry Blossom Viewing
Our morning begins with an adventure to the breathtaking Kiyosumi Japanese Garden. This charming Japanese garden is a popular spot to view the cherry blossoms and enjoy the Tokyo scenery. The garden sets itself apart thanks to an impressive collection of stones collected from all across Japan along the garden grounds. Located just next to the garden is the Fukagawa Edo Museum to get acquainted with the history of Tokyo. This charming museum is designed to replicate what life looked like during Japan's traditional days of Edo. Travel back in time and walk through the old city of Tokyo made to recreate life during Japan's Edo period.
After our time reconnecting with Tokyo's traditional days of Edo, your cherry blossom tour will make our way back to the gorgeous Tokyo Skytree for more shopping in the lively Solamachi area. You're welcome to join us, or enjoy the rest of your afternoon at your leisure in Tokyo.
Japan Deluxe Tours recommends spending the rest of your afternoon at Tokyo Disneyland or Disney Sea, or join us on a complimentary walking tour through Ueno Park and Ueno Zoo. Ueno Park is filled with plenty of wonderful facilities, including museums, a pond, concert halls, and a zoo. The park is also home to hundreds of cherry blossom trees making it the perfect destination to enjoy Japan's cherry blossoms while in bloom.
For those who wish to visit Tokyo Disney Land or DisneySea, your tour guide will be happy to explain directions.
