Narita International Airport (NRT) handles mostly international air traffic and is the arrival point for the majority of foreign visitors. It was formerly also known as New Tokyo International Airport, and is located in the city of Narita in Chiba Prefecture about 60 km outside of Tokyo. It consists of two terminal buildings, terminal 1 and terminal 2, with each airline being assigned to one of the two terminals. Narita Airport is connected with central Tokyo by multiple rail and bus lines.
The airport holds many souvenir shops and restaurants for those on the move. Delicious sushi and udon can also be enjoyed here before you fly out of Japan. The abundant souvenir shops are convenient last spots for those who may have forgotten some souvenir gifts for friends back home.
