Hakodate Milk

Hakodate Milk

Hakodate Milk is a popular milk company in Hokkaido, established in 1973 by a group of dairymen. Working under the Hakodate Dairy Corporation, the small dairy organization grew using mobile vehicles to deliver goods and produce to loyal customers. Thanks to the grassroots efforts, Hakodate Milk has grown into the familiar brand of milk loved all around Hokkaido. Hakodate Milk can be recognized in any Hokkaido supermarket or convenience store thanks to it's familiar orange packaging. In addition to the milk available at supermarkets and convenience stores, Hakodate Milk also also sells their milk as the Green, Beef and Earth bottles and the Hakodate Milk Bin bottles. The Hakodate Milk Bin is served in a nostalgic packaging for multi-servings, while the Green, Beef and Earth bottles are for single servings. Next to milk, Hakodate Milk also produces high quality yogurt, cheeses, and dairy-based desserts.

Milk from the Best Cows

Milk from the Best Cows

Hakodate Milk is very particular about the quality of their cows. The soil, grass, and cows all must be carefully accounted for to ensure the cows are producing delicious milk. Thanks to a careful and meticulous process, the Japanese milk farmers can ensure their cows will produce delicious milk each season. Soil is carefully tracked to ensure the best grass can grow, and there are no pesticides or additives given to the grass or cows. Rather than importing feed for cows, the dairy farmers of Hakodate Milk delicately raise their own feed to provide the cows the right level of nutrients. Thanks to the high degree of commitment and attention to detail, Hakodate Milk is able to retain a high-quality, pure flavor that's loved in Hokkaido and all Japan.
