Shizuoka Ryugashido | One of the largest caves in Japan

Ryugashido is a cavern in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka that has been around for 250 million years. The cave is 3490 ft long and one of the largest caves in Japan. Over 1,000 ft of the cave has a developed pathway allowing easier access to explore the cave. The inside of the cave is constantly around 64 degrees. The cave is full of marvelous rock formations, limestones, colored stone walls, stalagmites and stalactites. The highlight feature of Ryugashido is the Grand Golden Waterfall. It is an underground cascade which with light makes the water drops shimmer like gold.
