Ashizuri Cape is located in Shikoku as part of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park and features 80 m high cliffs. On the cliff is a white lighthouse built in 1904, a popular sightseeing spot among visitors of the cape. Ashizuri Cape's 2 km walking path takes hikers to the lighthouse and two observatories: Ashizuri Observatory and the Tengu-Nose Observatory. The easy path rewards its hikers with a beautiful view of not only the ocean but of a great view from above as the waves crash against the cliffs base. From the observatory you will also notice that the ocean no longer looks like a straight horizon but instead at such great height you will notice the arc of the horizon.
