Chikurinji Temple in Kochi City of Kochi Prefecture is a Shingon temple said to have been founded by Gyōki in the early 8th century. It is the 31st temple of the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage. Its treasure hall stores 17 Buddhist statues, which have all been designated as Important Cultural Properties. Chikurinji Temple features a five story pagoda at the top of the hill.
