Okinawa | Mihama American Village
Mihama American Village is an Americanized complex found in Okinawa. With many American military bases and Americans residing on the island, the Mihama American Village provides these residents a nostalgic feel away from home. The village complex features many American brand shops, Western-style restaurants, cafes, and a large parking lot (something you don't see quite often in Japan). The restaurants and food stands at the complex specialize in American food, servings things such as large steaks, hamburgers and hot dogs. Franchises restaurants straight from America such as sbarro and A&W are also available. The Mihama 7 Plex movie theater plays both American and Japanese movies to please a wide audience. Perhaps Mihama American Village's most iconic symbol is the large ferris wheel.
