Mt. Showa is a man-made mountain standing at 33 meters (108 feet) above sea level in Osaka. While it was the tallest mountain in Osaka at the time of construction, it has long since been surpassed by newer works. Not to be confused with Showa Shinzan in Hokkaido, Mt. Showa in Osaka is still a popular spot for nature and sightseeing. The locals in Osaka consider Mt. Showa a great spot to visit at night for the wonderful view of Osaka from above. Although the views may not be as spectacular as Mt. Rokko's in Kobe or the Japanese Alps, Mt. Showa's night time view is one that can't be missed for anyone who loves Osaka. Enjoy this sightseeing spot after your Japan tour ends in Osaka or before you star sightseeing with us during your next vacation!
