Ryuzu Waterfall in Nikko is located on Yukawa River, before the river flows into Lake Chuzenji. Ryuzu Waterfall, or Ryuzu no taki, literally translates to dragon head waterfall. The name comes from the waterfall being split into two by a large rock, thus resembling a dragon's head. It is best known for its beautiful scenery during the autumn season when the leaves transform into warm red and yellow colors. The warm colors add to the waterfalls dragon like appearance and thus is translates to dragon head waterfall. The beautiful waterfall and its scenery can be viewed from the observation deck free of charge, from which a great view from above can be enjoyed. Visitors can also relax at the cafe or shop for some souvenirs at the shop.
