Kyoto Jojakkoji Temple | Take the Steps to the Tasteful Dava Gate

Kyoto Jojakkoji Temple was founded in 1595 and is located on the foot of Mt. Ogura. You can cross the front gate to find yourself on the approach lined with maple trees. Then the tasteful Dava gate with thatches leads you to the stone steps. On the top of the stone step, there stands the main hall and a two story pagoda. The temple area is especially beautiful in the autumn when the maple trees brighten the town with its warm autumn colors.
