Nabana no Sato is a theme park in Nagashima Spa Land that is well known as Japan's greatest winter illumination destination. While the seasonal flowers draw in crowds throughout the year, the spectacular illumination from October to May are what sets Nabana no Sato apart from other tourist destinations. With millions of LED lights, enjoy a cascade of breathtaking colors during their stunning illuminations. Browse several unique displays, including a romantic walk through the light tunnel or the lit-up flower displays. The illumination tunnel is a 100-meter long display of lights representing the various stages of cherry blossoms. The tunnel uses special cherry blossom-shaped bulbs to bring Sakura season to life during the winter months.
The themes for the Illumination Shows vary year to year, with the 2018~2019 show set titled Scenery of Japan. Some previous themes include Swiss Alps and a tribute to earthquake struck Kumamoto. Visitors of Nabana no Sato should bring a camera with them for the illumination show, and be sure to enjoy some of the other attractions at the park, including the panoramic views from a 45 meter high observation tower and an outdoor foot bath. If you love illumination shows, add Nabana no Sato to your Japan tour itinerary, or join us on our fully-guided Quilt Festival Japan Tours between Tokyo to Kyoto in January to see this wonderful light show!
