The Samurai Museum in Tokyo is the ideal destination for the samurai aficionado. Focused on presenting the extensive history of the samurai, the Samurai Museum features exhibitions on samurai armor, katana (Japanese swords), and a Samurai Costume Photo Studio. The museum carries a unique selection of 70 different samurai armor on display, in addition to replica armors and kaboto helmets that guests can try. The museum displays the long history of the samurai, from the humble beginnings in the Kamakura period to the pinnacle in the Edo Period. Enjoy two floors of exhibits on the battle history, tradition, and culture of the samurai. The museum even offers calligraphy lessons and a course on samurai swords by reservation. The museum even features performances of samurai fighting with katana to keep the spirit of the samurai alive during your visit.
