Tokyo Zauo | Catch Your Own Fish

Restaurant Zauo is unlike any other restaurants you've been to. At Zauo, you catch your own fish and request how you would like your fish to be prepared. The restaurant has several indoor ponds with different kinds of fish swimming around. You purchase bait and use the fishing rods to catch whatever fish you'd like, which the chefs prepare for you after catching. The attendants will recommend certain types of fish for depending on how you'd like your chef to prepare your meal. The chefs can serve the fish as sashimi, sushi, tempura, boiled or grilled. While some Japanese restaurants are enjoyable because you get to watch the chef cook your meal before your eyes, you won't find an experience like Zauo's fish catching dinner. Not only will Zauo cook the fish you catch, but they also hold occasional sushi-making workshops for children which can be scheduled ahead of time. Zauo has several restaurant locations throughout Japan, and recently expanded to the United States with a restaurant in New York. Even if fish isn't your favorite meal, take your dining experience to a new level at Zauo.
