VR Zone Shinjuku is one of Japan's newest arcades that utilizes VR technology to immerse you into your favorite games. Using a hybrid system of VR headsets and traditional arcade machinery, VR Zone Shinjuku takes players on an interactive experience unlike any other. Guests use tickets to select which activities they'd like to take part of, and can enjoy a gaming experience that tricks the senses of the players into believing they really are in the game. VR Zone Shinjuku also does collaborations with other, well-established, gaming companies to produce unique games based on popular characters, such as the Gundam VR, Evangelion VR, Dragon Ball VR, and Mario Kart VR attractions.

The VR Zone also has a cafe on site that serves various themed meals and drinks based on the characters at the arcade. There's also a gift shop inside that offers guests commemorative goods and memorabilia for their experience. Just a short walk away from the famous Robot Restaurant, VR Zone Shinjuku is the perfect spot to go before watching giant robots put on an epic show. While the line may be long, we highly recommend trying the Mario Kart experience during your Japan tour. The ride puts you behind the wheel of your own Mario Kart to race against the rest of the Nintendo crew. Of course, you could always dress up as Mario and friends while you drive around Tokyo!
